Welcome to Qcourt ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

This policy applies to all users of the Qcourt App worldwide, including users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, California (USA), and other jurisdictions with specific privacy laws.

Summary: Qcourt is a court queue management app for racquet sports. All your game data (players, courts, queues, match history) is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers. However, our third-party service providers (for ads and analytics) may collect certain data as described below.

  • Match History: Records of matches played within the app
  • App Settings: Your preferences (theme, price mode, sport type, etc.)
  • Saved Lists: Player lists and history records you choose to save

3.3 iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

4. Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

4.1 Google AdMob

We display advertisements to support free access to our App. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your preferences.

4.2 Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our App, helping us improve the user experience. Firebase Analytics collects usage data such as session duration and feature usage.

4.3 Firebase Crashlytics

We use Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to improve App stability. This includes device state information, device identifiers, and crash stack traces.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we process personal data based on the following legal grounds:

For EU/EEA/UK/Swiss Users: When you first open the App, you will see a consent dialog (Google's User Messaging Platform) that allows you to choose whether to allow personalized advertising. You can change your choice at any time through: Settings > Privacy Settings in the App.

The information collected is used to:

7. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads within the App. AdMob may use device identifiers and other data to serve ads relevant to you.

7.1 Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

  • Personalized Ads: Based on your interests and app usage history. Requires your consent in GDPR regions.
  • Non-Personalized Ads: Not based on past behavior. May still use contextual information like general location.

7.2 How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising

  • In-App (Recommended): Settings > Privacy Settings (for EEA/UK/Swiss users)
  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (or "Delete advertising ID")
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

8. Data Retention

  • Local App Data: Stored on your device until you uninstall the App, clear App data, or use the "Reset App" feature in Settings.
  • Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase according to Firebase's data retention policies (typically 14 months for user-level data).
  • Crash Data: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days.
  • Advertising Data: Retained by Google according to Google's retention policies.

9. Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with:

  • Service Providers: Google (AdMob, Firebase) for advertising and analytics as described above.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

International Transfers: Google may transfer data to servers located outside your country, including to the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other mechanisms approved under GDPR for such transfers.

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Local data on your device is protected by your device's security features. Our third-party service providers (Google/Firebase) maintain their own security measures.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of material changes by:

15. App Store Specific Information

Apple App Store
